100% dried bark of apple tree
15% alum mordant

Boil the wool for 1 hour together with the alum. After cooling down heaten the wool again in enough water together with the well soaked bark. Boile slightly for 1 hour, then remove the wool and let it cool down slowly.

You may dye the same quantity of wool in the used dye bath. With alume you get a light but beautiful yellow, add 1/2-1% iron-mordant, and maybe you will get wonderful greens an olive shades.
